The paper provides a brief but comprehensive assessment of the technology, physical requirements and costs of such systems at three plant sizes. It finds that dendrothermal power systems are more likely to be competitive at scales of 10 MW or so. Capital intensity results in high generation costs for smaller sizes while sizes much larger than 10 MW, although resulting in lower generation costs, would become impractical due to very large land area requirements...
