The relative economics of gas-fueled combined-cycle plants and other fossil fuel power plant alternatives are reviewed and the paper concludes that gas-fueled combined-cycle is the least cost base-load power generation alternative for both larga and small systems with fuel prices in the order of gas al ,50/MMBTU
