<br/><br/>This paper concludes that as the demand for power in the developing world increases dramatically over the next two decades, the opportunities for private investment in the energy sector will correspondingly grow. This private investment may take many forms, but it appears that the BOT - BOO projects approach will be most widespread. Under the discipline of project finance, these BOT - BOO projects are completely dependant upon the successful allocation of risks, especially political risks, through the contracts comprising the security package..
