A modified anaerobic fermentor is proposed. The design features are discussed and their effect on the fermentor performance are mentioned. The proposed modified paddle mixer es evaluated with respect to the overall efficiency of the fermentor. A laboratory scale model made of stainless steel was executed and its operation was tested using local agricultural residues and wastes as well as wild plants growing in irrigation and drainage canals.
