The aim of this research is the selection of areas suitable for geothermal exploration of the high enthalpy resources, for the production of electricity. This report will deal with the geology, petrology and volcanology of the area, both generally and in detail. The work methods employed were those suggested by OLADE, for the geothermal reconnaissance phase, in volcanic areas.
