This report compares the landfill bioreactor and conventional landfill gas to energy projects was used to model methane emissions. The landfill and therefore more energy over a 20 year time span. When hidden costs are included in the economic analysis the landfill biorector is a good option for energy generation. Both projects are still expensive when compared to conventional energy generation in Colombia. Both projects are cases the foreseen impacts are not as significant as the current ones.
