This scenario analyses measures to force energy - related CO2 emissions down to a trajectory that, taking full account of the trends and mitigation potential for non - CO2 greenhouse gases and CO2 emissions outside the energy sector, would be consistent with ultimately stabilising the concentration of all greenhouse in the atmosphere al 450 ppm. This level of concentration is expected to give rise to a global temperature increase of 2ºC.
